After growing up in Oxford, Dr Rebecca Williams did her undergraduate medical studies in Cambridge before returning to Oxford for her clinical training. After qualifying as a doctor in 1994, she worked in Oxford, Inverness and Edinburgh before moving to the Scottish Borders for her GP training. She subsequently worked there as a GP for nearly 25 years.
Through her experience of working with many patients who were struggling with the physical and mental health consequences of stress she gained valuable insights into how to help people in a practical way. Utilising her knowledge, training and clinical experience, she has spent the past 8 years working as a stress management specialist, educating and supporting groups and individuals to reduce the impact of stress.
